Abe and Brandan made an F-15 fighter jet from a paper kit and took it out to the field for a test flight. They used a big rubber band and a stick to catapult the airplane into the air.
Our kids continue to surprise us. Helen, our princess of all things pink, asked for a Spiderman toothbrush. We're not sure why she likes Spiderman, but it's easy to please a 3 year old for less than $2.
The kids asked what we were having for dinner Thursday night. Falafel. "NOOOO! We hate falafel! We'll starve to death!" Yeah, not much chance of them starving to death. It took them about 15 minutes to finish them all off. Maybe they had falafel confused with something else.

So so so cute! Now I have a new favorite blog to stalk. What in the world is falafel? And the photo of Sophie is so cute. . . my kids want to pick pears, too. Weirdos. OK, so we're going swimming Tues from 10-12. . .You guys are welcome to come and if the kids want to join in for swim lessons, I'd love to have them. This is our last week. . .We'll miss the book party tomorow, but can't wait to start next summer!
Falafel are Middle Eastern comfort food- garbanzo beans pureed with onions, garlic and spices, then made into patties and fried in oil. Delcious!
I still remember eating my first falafel sandwich with you in Berlin. I actually have a recording of our first bites and commentary. We were with that southern boy we met on the train. Do you remember? I love Gibson's belly. Ruth
We love falafel! Although we don't have it too often because I'm not crazy about the effort of fyring in oil. I've tried baking them in the past; I wouldn't call the results falafel. We're excited to go visit the middle eastern market this afternoon since they've gotten in their shipment of fresh dates...yum.
I just wanted to thank you so much for coming an visiting me Thursday. I absolutely love having you over and enjoy the company so much. It was fun and I can't wait till next month!
