We had our first snowfall of the season on Saturday. Where? Can't you see it piled up on the stairs? The snow is at least 3 or 4 snowflakes deep.
A couple of years ago, a secret Santa left a cute nativity set on our doorstep for the 12 days of Christmas. The kids like moving the pieces and it gets rearranged several times a day. The pieces, made of plastic molded to look like painted wood, are perfect for little hands.
This time, Abe creatively moved the stable outline to the front of the display to make a doorway for the stable.

What a sweet nativity, my kids do the same thing. . . go around and arrange all the pieces RIGHT around Baby Jesus. . .love it. OK, I feel embarrassed. . . I was so out of it yesterday, but I thought really hard and YES, I do remember you coming over for FHE. We'll get together soon for a concert by Josh and Soph. . .S
John does the same thing with the nativity--all the figures form a circle around baby Jesus. I kept rearranging the figures in a more traditional arrangement until this week when I realized that in our family the circle with the baby in the center is the traditional arrangement. Ruth
Cute nativity set! I love the ones that kids can't do much damage to so that they can get involved in the right aspects of Christmas. Thanks for the gingerbread tip - where do you get that kind of frosting? Is that brand? Do tell so I can get this magic cement for success next year!
