| Saturday was Pioneer Day. There are no fireworks or parades where we live to commemorate the day. We had a little dutch oven dinner in honor of the day. We weren't too authentic as it was 102 degrees outside. It had cooled down enough after dinner to poke our heads out from the air conditioned house to watch an object lesson taught by a missionary. How is faith like a fork, a spoon, a toothpick, a glass and a match? It's probably better to stick to "faith is like a seed" for doctrinal purposes, but Elder B.'s demonstration did get everyone's attention. |

Little Spencer and I have been reading the Harry Potter books too. We are on the 4th. They are fun. We also have read the original Box Car Children.
I am so impressed with your sewing abilities.
I am glad your family did something for pioneer day. I miss the Pioneer Day primary activities. My kids always loved those.
I read the kids Box Car Children last summer, that was my favorite book as a child, I use to imagine what I would do if I ever found a box car and needed to live in it!!
Lauren once asked me to insist she read Harry Potter again if ever she is struck with amnesia. She would be jealous of Gibson reading it for the first time.
I always wanted to take a tour of that airplane-way to go! You are an amazing seamstress! It sounds like they are working you pretty hard!
