It's rained most of the week, but we took advantage of a break in the weather to plant our vegetable garden. Abe planted a beefsteak tomato plant,a red pepper plant, leeks, beets, carrots, basil, broccoli and pole beans. Gibson planted corn, a yellow Roma tomato plant, a cherry tomato plant, rutabagas, bush beans and pole beans. Helen planted an Early Girl tomato, lots of pepper plants, carrots, turnips and red onions. Becky snuck some edamame in with the peas that are already growing (using the untested theory that when the peas are finished with the bamboo supports, the edamame vines will be ready for them-- we'll see.) |

I was wondering where Sophie was going for that long. The UK, that is so great. Can't wait to hear about their trip.
I want to know how your garden does. I am always so nervous to plant something new.
Abe's pizza looks pretty good if you ask me.
I've been catching up on your blog posts. You are seriously the most amazing family. You write about things as if they are the most everyday events and yet--wow. I am so happy for Sophie to spend 2 weeks abroad with her dad. I look forward to the posts about it. By the way--I've been meaning to tell you--when I went through my soul searching scrap booking dilemma, I really thought, should I do the digital books or blog like Becky? I'm sure you do this intentionally, but your blogs are the most ideal way of family scrapbooking. My sister just had her blog made into a book at blog2print. You are creating such a beautiful family history. It is so heartfelt and consistent. I'm lucky to be a reader.
Abe's pizza does look yummier than most things you could order.
You'll have to let me know if the edamame really grows.
I'm glad you have Brandan and Sophie home. That was sweet of him to leave you all those notes.
