Helen made some sun catchers this week by filling metal frames with tiny plastic beads.  When she was finished with her designs, we baked the sun catchers to melt the beads.

Sofi's school had an exhibition night to showcase the students' work from the first trimester.  Sofi's social studies class prepared a display about the industrial revolution.  Sofi reported on the invention of the typewriter.  Unfortunately, the display space was too small for all the reports and so the displays were stacked 3 deep.  We moved Sofi's poster to the top of the stack to take a photo.  With all the time the students spent preparing for the exhibition night, we were disappointed that the exhibits weren't carefully displayed.

Sofi's model of the expanding universe was easier to see.  Sofi also had a short story she wrote for her physical science class and a logo she drew by writing equations for her pre-calculus class at the exhibit.

We've been decorating a turkey with blessings written on paper feathers this month.  Gibson drew a cute turkey with buttons for eyes and a belly button.  It's fun to read what other people are thankful for and to see the cute ways they decorate the feathers.

Hey, that turkey is alot like the one we made for FHE.

Sofi's universe looks great. Is that a typewriter you've had in your family? My mother-in-law was just telling me she was wanting one.
