Abe was recognized as the Student of the Year from his school by the Rotary Club. He was chosen by the teachers at his school and was honored at the Rotary Club's regular luncheon.
Brandan and Becky were also invited to attend. Abe received a framed certificate and his name was engraved on a plaque that hangs in the school.
Abe's principal also attended the luncheon. She wrote a very nice introduction about Abe for the Rotary Club.
Brandan has been playing futsal, a kind of indoor soccer, this winter. His team is on the older end for the league, but they are holding their own. Brandan feels his soccer skills are rusty, but he's having a good time and has avoided injuries so far.
Helen enjoyed our "Chopped" activity from a couple of weeks ago very much so she asked Becky to give her 2 ingredients to make a dish from. Becky told her carrots and raisins and Helen made a lovely design from the food and then drizzled the plate with honey.
