8 March 2015

Sofi's backpack was stolen out of our car while she was at early morning seminary.  She didn't have anything of value to the thief in her backpack, but she was saddest about losing 2 years worth of Chinese notes.  This is a photo of her new Chinese notebook, including new vocabulary words like "steal" and "lock."

Gib and Abe have both been sick this week.  Gib missed one day of
school and Abe missed three.  They both had vague symptoms-- a low fever, headache and no energy.

Helen put Gib's cello away for him one night (he was wiped out) and played a few songs on it.  She sounded quite good!

Sofi's show, Bye Bye Birdie, ended this week. She had a great time, but is looking forward to getting back to a normal schedule.  The past week was intense-- Sofi left home for early morning seminary at 6:45 am and got home between 10:30 and 11:30 pm.  The photo shows some of the cast and friends on opening night.  Joey and Sofi are sitting in the front.

Our family went to the Saturday matinee.

This is a photo of Sofi, Joey and Odelia.  Odelia is a Chinese exchange student.

Our friend, Nancy, came with us.  Nancy was a teenager when Elvis was popular and watching the play she felt like she was in a time machine back to 1954.  She loved the play and loved meeting Conrad Birdie, the Elvis-like star of the show.

Wish I could've seen the play. That is an intense schedule Sofi had! Makes me tired thinking about it... I better go to bed.
