14 October 2018

Gibson's cello teacher, Lisa, plays the piano as well as the cello.  Sometimes they play duets after Gibson has learned a new song.  Here they are playing Minuet in G by Beethoven.

Helen gets home 2 hours from school earlier than Abe and Gibson on Wednesdays.  This week she finished up the puzzle we started on Sunday.

Here's the finished puzzle.  It was fun to work on a fall themed puzzle at the same time we were watching all the leaves turn colors outside.

Gibson got a stack of patches at the troop court of honor on Wednesday night.  From the left are Cody, Luke, Andy, Tyrone, Marcus, Gibson and Bob.

Gib advanced to the rank of First Class scout and got his first five merit badges: First Aid, Pets, Swimming, Astronomy and Personal Fitness.

Helen was measured at her annual check up in August and is now 5'4 ½" tall, half an inch taller than Becky.  Becky took her to lunch to celebrate.  We went to the Breadboard in Ashland so Helen could order her favorite blue cheese burger.

Abe's soccer team played Friday afternoon and lost.  It would be nice if they had another win before the season ended, but with a shrinking roster due to injuries, it looks unlikely.  Abe is still playing hard and other than bruises and scratches, he's injury free.

We went to our friend, Masood's house for dinner on Saturday.  Masood has many oak trees that drop acorns all over his yard and walkways.  Abe, Helen and Gibson used his leaf blowers to clear them away.

Here is Gibson blowing leaves out of Masood's parking area in this photo.  The kids thought using leaf blowers was very fun.
