On Friday the elementary school held its end of the year awards assembly. Helen won the writing award for her classroom. The theme for stories this year was aliens and Helen wrote a cute story about a girl who helped an alien fix his spaceship.
Gibson won the writing contest for the primary grades (kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades.) He wrote about exploring Planet Gonzar. His name will go on a plaque at school. Gibson also received a medal for having 250 accelerated reader points.

Just last month Gibson got the 150 AR point award didn't he? It must have been that week off of school while he was sick :).
Great writing for Helen and Gib. We always enjoy reading all of the stories from the writing contest reader.
