We started our Hull Christmas concert series this week. This is a great opportunity for our kids to share Christmas music with friends and neighbors. The kids played a trio for the first time.
Also new this year is a guitar solo of What Child is This played by Brandan.
We end our program with caroling, accompanied by Helen.
Here's a photo of Gibson waiting for his turn to play.
We've played three concerts so far and have three more scheduled for this week. Here's our program, except Helen likes to add some variety and so far she's played a different violin and piano piece at each stop. Typically, the violin gets the melody in group arrangements, but Helen and Abe kindly let Gibson play the melody for God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Joy to the World.
Helen and Gibson's class had a special field trip to go see the Nutcracker. Helen's friend's mom put curlers in Helen's hair the night before.
Here's a photo of Helen and Gibson ready to go on their field trip.
The kids decorated chocolate bars to give to their teachers. Abe gave out undecorated chocolate, which was fine because high school teachers don't expect presents anyway. Helen made the snowman thinking of math problems for her math teacher.
Our ward held a Christmas breakfast on Saturday morning. The theme was Light the World and the decorations included a photo booth. Besides a yummy breakfast and a short program, our ward collected clothes for at risk teens and packaged hot chocolate to give away.
We got two photos from Sofi's mission this week. The first is from a zone conference with Elder and Sister Meurs. Sofi is easy to find in her orange shirt.
This photo is from a multi-zone conference and Christmas party. Sofi is standing behind Sister Teh. Sister Teh is wearing a red scarf. We love that Sofi's mission sends us photos from each conference.

Isn't it the best when you watch your kids all play their instruments together?!
