The kids slept in their hammocks Sunday night. This is what they looked like Monday morning.
Helen's art teacher put some of her class' paintings on display in the library.
Here's a close up of Helen's painting. It's another example of fauvism.
Gib spent three days at parkour camp this week. Parkour is running, jumping, swinging and climbing in the fastest way possible from one point to another. The camp Gibson went to had many homemade obstacles for the kids to practice getting over. Gibson is wearing on orange t-shirt and sitting on the inclined plank.
Here's a photo of Gibson in front of more obstacles. The last day of camp was water day and the kids went down a water slide and tried to push each other into a pool.
On Tuesday, Helen was driving home from the movies with some friends when they saw a fire near the fairgrounds. They drove over to get a closer look and Helen took this photo. The fire spread quickly, prompting hundreds of people to evacuate. Although the fire started in a vacant lot, it threatened many homes and businesses, burning 97 acres before being put out.
The young men in our ward are headed to scout camp and on a high adventure trip next week. The older boys are backpacking for 5 days. They packed the food for their trip on Wednesday night.
Abe had a busy soccer week. He spent the mornings at a soccer camp with the high school team. In the evenings he taught at a camp for younger kids. The high school team organized the camp as a fund raiser. Camp was canceled on Friday because the air quality was unhealthy due to nearby forest fires.
Joey came home from her mission late Thursday night! Joey served in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Spanish speaking mission. In the photo are Joey, Andrea, Blake, Eddy and Camden. Joey's brother, Logan, is not in the photo because he left on Tuesday for the MTC in Guatemala.
Andrea made three "Welcome Home" signs for Joey. Ashton and Abe are holding one of them.
Here's another sleeping photo from the week. It's summertime for sure!
