12 August 2018

Our family went to a going away party for another family in our ward this week.  They took Polaroid photos at the party for a memory book.  We barely got Gibson out of the pool long enough for a photo.  Becky loved the photo, but couldn't keep it, so here's a photo of the photo.  First, it's been rare this summer for 5 of us to be in the same place.  Second, the photo shows how much the kids have grown this year.  This may be photographic evidence that Helen is taller than Becky.  We're waiting for her doctor visit the end of the month for the official measurement.

It's pear picking time!  Due to forest fires, our air quality hovers between unhealthy and hazardous, but the pears still need to be picked.

For the first time ever, a supervisor asked Gibson how old he was.  Officially, you have to be 12 years old to pick pears.  All of our kids started picking younger than that.  Instead of picking pears, Gib got to organize the pear buckets at the check in station.

Helen made dinner Tuesday night.  She made this beautiful and delicious salad.  Gibson made dinner Wednesday night, but we forgot to take a photo.  He made mashed potatoes.

Helen spent Wednesday through Friday at girls camp.  One of her leaders sent us some photos.  From the left are Helen, Jennah, Kate and Emma.

Every day the girls made a different craft.  In this photo they are making dream catchers.

The Sister Squad was reunited.  These girls became friends last year at camp.  From the left are Jennah, Helen, Emma, Clair and Lexi.

Gudetama has arrived in Southern Oregon.  Gibson and Becky saw this display of the depressed egg at Barnes and Noble.

We're headed to Utah and Idaho so we spent a few hours updating our road trip play list.  We have lots of driving ahead of us, and also lots of our favorite people to see!
