16 June 2019

On Monday Helen went to the water slides in Redding, California with the 8th graders from her school.  From the left are Brady, Sophie, Roberta, Clara, Helen, Caleb, Keleigh, Paige and Lucy.

Abe's friend, Camden, asked Abe to learn one third of a trio to play at Camden's piano recital.  Camden's piano teacher is his mom.  Another one of her students, Aubrey, played the third part.  They played an arrangement of Beethoven's 5th symphony.  This is a photo at the recital.  The three played beautifully together.

Helen made a poster for each of the 8th graders in her class.  She painted the background with watercolors and wrote an inspirational quote that she chose for each person.

After 2 ½ years, Helen got her braces off on Wednesday.  Her always brilliant smile just got even more dazzling!

One of the walls in the orthodontist's office is covered in candy dispensers.  Helen got to fill a cup with candy to celebrate getting her braces off.

Abe's last day of school was Wednesday.  He had a test in math, but got permission to skip the rest of his classes to spend the the day working on his electric guitar and he finished it!  He did such a nice job building it.  Now he needs an amp so he can play it.

We took Abe to the airport at 4 am on Thursday where he took off with a school group for Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City.  He'll be gone for 9 days.

Helen and Gibson's last day of school was Thursday.  Helen has been in the same class with the same teacher for 4 years.  This is a photo of all the kids who have been in the class since the beginning.  From the left are Sophie, Lucy, Clara, Helen, Miss Jenny, Caleb and Chayton.  They have grown to be the best of friends.

This is a photo of all the 8th graders on the last day of school.  In the back row are Miss Hilary, Caleb, Chayton and Miss Jenny.  In the front row are Roberta, Lucy, Paige, Clara, Helen, Michael, Brady, Keleigh and Sophie.

We took a bike ride together Saturday afternoon and checked on the progress of some construction projects.  This was Sofi's first bike ride since she got home from her mission 6 months ago.  She rode her bike miles and miles almost every day on her mission.
