Gibson received his Star rank advancement at our troop court of honor. A few boys in the troop are still going strong and hope to achieve their Eagle award before the troop dissolves in December. Gibson will be too young to earn his Eagle, but he is going as far as he can.
Our friends invited us on a summer solstice hike. This is a photo of the sun setting on the longest day of 2019.
The kids broke out glow sticks as the sun went down. From the left are Caleb, Helen, Sophie, Sarah, Gibson and Diego. We've never celebrated the summer solstice before, but this could be the start of a fun tradition.
Abe returned from his East Coast trip Friday night. He had a fantastic time and made a lot of new friends. He'll post photos and stories from his trip soon. In the meantime, here's a photo of the group on Broadway after they went to see King Kong. We think Abe grew an inch in the nine days he was gone.
