19 January 2020

School was canceled Thursday because of snow.  Somehow Gibson scraped together enough snow to build a snowman and a snow BB-8.

Abe built a miniature snowman and put it on our front porch.

Eddy came over and he and Gibson spent several hours playing Risk.

Although we only got a tiny amount of snow, it's been a cold, dark, rainy week.  Becky put out a puzzle, thinking it would be fun to work on since we're staying indoors.  The kids (mostly Abe) put the 1000 piece puzzle together in one day.  It was fun to work on the puzzle so we'll either take this one apart and do it again or start on a new puzzle.  Maybe it's time to tackle a 2000 piece puzzle.

Gibson decided that after taking care of his Russian tortoise, Lily, for 6 years, he was ready to give her away.  He gave her to our friend who has four girls and teaches first grade.  Lily (soon to be renamed) is now a classroom pet.

This is a photo of Gibson and Lily shortly after he first got her.  Lily grew a little and Gibson has grown a lot.
