9 March 2025

Gibson's mission call email arrived Monday afternoon, sooner than we expected. We quickly invited friends and family to come to our house or join Gibson's instagram page to celebrate his call and watch him open it.

Here's a view from the other end of the room.

The mission call letter is beautifully written and focuses on the missionary's purpose to bring people to Christ, but we all wanted him to hurry to the part where it says his assignment.

And the result is. . . Singapore, Malay speaking! We were all surprised. Gibson was delighted and our friend, Angel, was super excited. She served a mission in Singapore in the 2000s.

We celebrated with chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough ice cream, Gibson's favorite treats.

Angel brought over a selection of books and souvenirs from her mission. It's been fun to look through the books and learn a little about the area.

This is a map of Gibson's mission, encompassing Malaysia as well as Singapore. The tropical country contains a mix of languages, cultures, and religions.

We hiked up Roxy Ann on Saturday and enjoyed blue skies and sunshine.

Brandan and Becky won St. Patrick's Day themed prizes at the Single Adult planning meeting.
