1 June 2025

Right now, Elder Zeb Gibby is serving in our ward. His family back in Utah realized that Brandan babysat Elder Gibby's mom, Tisha Bradshaw, when they were both about 40 years younger. Elder Gibby is an excellent missionary, undoubtably because his mom had a great babysitter.
Brandan finished the puzzle he started during the April general conference. At first Becky thought it was a photo from Nyhavn, Denmark, but it's from Gdansk, Poland.
The graduation celebrations kicked off with a combined youth activity celebrating the seniors in our ward. Each senior gave a short speech with advice for the younger kids. Gib told everyone to find the good in everything they are asked to do and to read their scriptures.
Our school has bare bones connectivity to the school network following the recent cyber attack. It turns out the clocks and bells are run by a server that has not been repaired yet. Each day, the time on the clock is slower and slower than the day before. The school can't reset the clocks or the bells, so the principal turned the bells off. Becky covered the digital clock in her time after she was 5 minutes late to a meeting when she forgot the clocks were wrong. She hung a small analog clock and a surprising number of high school students do not know how to tell time on a analog clock.
Gib and friends used to eat at a small Mexican restaurant across the street from the school every Wednesday for lunch. Becky met Gib and Adia for lunch at El Pablanos on the last Wednesday of high school for the seniors.
Thursday the school held the senior assembly. Seniors lined up according to their plans after high school. Three students are headed to the University of Utah: Rowen, Adia and Gibson.
This is a photo of Gibson's countdown chain on Friday, his last day of school.
Brandan spent Thursday through Saturday at a medical conference in Bend, Oregon. He stayed in a hotel along the Deschutes River.
Gibson has started taking Malay lessons from a teacher at the MTC. They meet on zoom to practice and the teacher gives Gib challenges to work on during the week.
This is a photo of a page out of Gib's Malay notebook. Malay uses the Roman alphabet and is similar to Indonesian.
On Friday, Becky helped celebrate our friend, Lauren, who graduated from OSU with a degree in Psychology. Lauren's ultimate gaol is to earn her Master's in Clinical Counseling. From the left are Christine, Andrea, Lauren, Diane, Desiree, and Becky.
Helen went hiking with friends. From the left are Lily, Helen, Anne, Alex and Gareth.
Abe plays on an intramural ultimate frisbee team. This is a photo from their game this week. The team is made up of members of his ward.
And this is a photo with other members of their ward who came to cheer them on.
On Saturday we went to a graduation party for Adia. She had a poster showing photos of herself growing up. Our favorite was a photo of herself and Gibson from 7th grade. They had gone ice skating as part of a stake youth activity. Adia is not standing on a stool in the photo.
Abe and Helen met up on Saturday in Salk Lake City.
