24 March 2013

Our little car had the basic factory radio it came with.  This was fine with Becky since all she wants in a radio is NPR.  However, the kids want to listen to music.  The popular music stations make Becky's hair stand on end.  The tape player no longer worked.  So Brandan swapped the stereo out for one with a CD player and USB port.  Abe and Gibson helped.  They had to take apart the center console and gear shift to do the job.  Now everyone can listen to their favorite music.

Saturday was a great work day.  We spent the morning Spring cleaning the inside of the house and the afternoon doing yard work outside.

After working hard all day, we went out for frozen yogurt.

This is a photo of Gib, Sofi and Helen digging up grubs.

We started our Easter countdown eggs.  Every night after dinner we open a plastic Easter egg. Inside the egg is a testimony of Jesus Christ given by one of our latter-day prophets.  We glue the testimonies on to a large poster in our kitchen.  You can read all of the testimonies in the March 2008 Ensign.

We had to add President Monson's testimony since he was called to serve in February 2008 and was not included in the article.

I have never had such an itch to spring clean before. This year I caught spring cleaning fever. I like your Easter basket idea with the testimonies. Easter is coming too quickly this year. Not enough time to do all that I would like to do.

Which is worse - the kids pop music, or listening to the exact same little kid CD drive after drive, day after day, for months now? Probably the pop music is worse...
