3 March 2013

Everyone in our family has been sick this week.  Abe had a big Lewis and Clark report due for school the end of the week so he worked on it on the couch in between naps.

Helen and Gibson also spent a few days sick at home from school.  They helped Becky paint cardboard surfboards in between their naps.

The surfboards were for the cub scout Blue and Gold banquet on Thursday.  The banquet had a luau theme.

Becky was responsible for setting up a photo booth for the evening.  Here's a photo of Abe, Helen and Gibson at the banquet.

Abe finished his Lewis and Clark report in time to hand it in on Friday.  Since he had a high fever most of the week, it took a big effort Thursday night to get it done.  Along with the written report, he built a model of Fort Clatsop, the fort Lewis and Clark's men built to spend the winter in near the Pacific Ocean.

Sofi did the same project 5 years ago when she was in 4th grade and had the same teacher.

Here's a photo of the actual fort.

Very cool fort. I see your kids didn't escape what seems to be going around to every household. I imagine it's just a matter of time before it hits us.
