On Monday, Brandan and Becky made a quick trip to Portland for our friend, Desi's, wedding. We've been friends with the Badizadegan family for about 10 years, just a few years before Debbie, the mom, died of melanoma. We've enjoyed some great dinners and fun game nights together and were honored that Desi invited us to her wedding. This is a photo of their family. From the left are Masood, Majid, Desi and Ari. At dinner we sat with Desi's Iranian relatives and were enthralled with their stories of coming to live in America.
Gibson and Helen spent three days this week researching questions from the Southern Oregon Scavenger Hunt, an annual event for local schools. They'll go to SOU on Tuesday to defend their answers.
Some of the scavenger hunt items are unusual. For example, this year they were asked to recreate an old black and white photo that showed an ostrich pulling a cart. This version came pretty close. Mary is in the cart, Shaun is standing on the street and Tayvon is the ostrich.

Gibson had his first concert series for the new season. This is a photo of the orchestra warming up before the concert Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Helen was driving a car full of friends to the Hawaiian themed stake dance in Grants Pass. They had a great time.
