Becky turned her classroom into a coordinate graph on Monday for her Math 1 students to practice graphing lines using themselves as the points. It was fun to try something new and helpful for some students to visualize concepts like slope, y-intercepts and x-intercepts.

Gibson makes dinner Thursday nights which is extremely helpful for the rest of us. This week he made chili. He was home alone and couldn't find the chili powder. The recipe called for one tablespoon of chili powder so he replaced it with one tablespoon of cayenne pepper. The chili was way too spicy for any of us to eat, but it makes a good story.
Brandan's nephew, Parker, and his wife, Halie, came to visit us for a few days. Brandan invited Parker to rake leaves with a group from our ward. In the photo, Parker is in the middle in a white sweatshirt, Brandan is to the left in a grey jacket and Gibson is behind the rake handles in a red sweatshirt.
This is a photo of the youth who came to help. From the left are Sam, Jason, Eddy and Gibson.
Helen had a Siskiyou Violin performance in Ashland on Saturday so we went to a Mexican restaurant near the performance location for lunch. Then Helen could leave early to warm up and the rest of us could walk over later. From the left are Gibson, Helen, Becky, Brandan, Parker and Halie.
The Siskiyou Violins played at Paddington Station's Christmas kick-off event. The violinists played upstairs, filling the store with beautiful music while shoppers mingled on all three levels. Helen is in the photo to the left of Gibson's head.
Here's a better photo of Helen, Showing how tight the musicians were squeezed into the space.
After the performance, we went to a pottery show in Medford. Then Parker and Halie peeled off to go to the Utah/Oregon football game in Eugene. We're so glad they stopped by and that we got to spend time with them!
