23 February 2025

Gibson is taking a commercial graphic design class this semester. He made this sticker that says, "I love you most" in Chinese.

Construction Math made marble tracks this week out of paper.

Students worked in groups. They were limited to using paper and tape for their tracks.

Students quickly figured out the role of potential energy.

Every group built a successful track. Students love days like this where they have a long chunk of time to create.

In December, the stake Relief Society asked Becky to give the keynote address at our stake Relief Society women's conference, held on February 22. The theme of the conference and her talk was "The Best is Yet to Come" from President Nelson's October 2024 general conference talk, "The Lord Jesus Christ Will Come Again." Two months to prepare has meant lots of studying, taking notes, making outlines and having conversations with Brandan. This week meant pulling it all together for real.

None of these photos are new to the blog, but it's fun to see them all together and think about the experiences, spread over many years, that represent gathering Israel.

And here's a favorite photo from 1995. Becky used this photo to illustrate the Parable of the 10 Virgins. The first car we owned burned a lot of oil as it got older. Drops of oil would not have been adequate to keep the car running. It needed quarts of oil. Likewise, drops of oil will not be adequate to light our lamps in the last days. We need buckets of oil.
