13 July 2025

Brandan's sister, Becky, and her family visited this week. This was their first time visiting Southern Oregon and they enjoyed the coast, the Redwoods, Crater Lake, and places closer to home. We joined them on some of their adventures. This is a photo of Gibson with Maks and Niko on top of Upper Tablerock.

A wild and unexpected thunderstorm blew in Monday night. Unfortunately, roofers were in the middle of replacing the shingles and vents on our roof. Although they covered our roof every night before they left, the covering was not designed for strong winds and driving rai. To our dismay, we soon saw water dripping out of a light fixture onto our kitchen counter.

Brandan went up to our attic to see the source of the leak and was surprised to find a square of roof that was completely open to the sky/ He stuffed an old towel into the hole to keep rain out overnight until the roofers returned in the morning. Fortunately the roofers finished the roof on Tuesday, hot and dry weather followed all week to dry off all the surfaces, and it appears there is no permanent damage from the rain.

On Friday we rafted the Rogue River with the Hensons.

Rafting is one of our favorite summertime activities and we loved sharing it with the Hensons.

Gibson and his friend, Cason, both start their missions in the next two weeks. On Saturday we enjoyed a joint open house with the boys to celebrate their mission and say goodbye. Gibson created the invitation.

The party was at the Weaver's house. From the left are Noah, Mary, Noah, Kohen, Colin, Cason and Gibson.

Gibson's Sunday School class sang "Savior, Redeemer of My Soul" in church today. They were practicing when Becky got to church so she took a photo. They sounded amazing!
