20 July 2025

Abe's bishop, Lance Law, played professional baseball and coached at BYU. He showed the ward how to hit a baseball for family night this week.

Helen and her friend, Lily, drove out to visit us on Tuesday. They spent the week trying out some of our favorite summertime activities. On Wednesday they went to the coast with Gibson.

On Friday they went swimming at Lost Creek Lake.

Abe drove up with Dan and Martha on Thursday. On Saturday morning Abe, Gibson and Becky went to a driving range.

Abe taught us how to hit a golf ball and we hit a couple of buckets of balls.

Brandan, Dan and Martha went to a car show in our neighborhood. Dan saw several cars that were models he drove when he was younger, like this 1955 Chevy Bel Air.

The one he drove was blue and white.

And this 1965 Mustang.  The one he drove was also blue with black seats, a convertible top and 289 motor (see front driver side fender).

Helen, Lily and Abe went shopping in Ashland on Saturday afternoon.

We all met up later for dinner in Lithia Park. Here are the girls: Adia, Lily, Helen, Becky and Martha.

Here are the boys: Dan, Gibson, Brandan and Abe.

We went to the OSF green show where we watched a very silly Dungeons and Dragons/Shakespeare mash up.

We ended our day watching Into The Woods at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. And picked up another  friend, Camden. Front row: Helen and Lily. Middle row: Adia, Gibson, Becky and Brandan. Back row: Abe and Camden.

Gibson spoke in church on Sunday before starting his mission, along with our friend Mary, who also starts her mission tomorrow. Gibson and Mary both spoke and they played The Lord is My Shepherd with Helen as a musical number. This is a photo of them practicing before the meeting started.

Brandan sat next to Gibson on the stand and took this photo of Gibson's fun socks.
