6 July 2025

This marks our 1000th blog post. We started 18 years ago (or 939 weeks ago when measured by the rhythm of our blog) on June 17, 2007. Prior to the blog, Becky wrote letters to our family in Idaho and Utah to stay in touch. A blog seemed like a simpler way to share news with family. Since then, the blog has become our digital photo album and family history,

Gibson had a few more adventures in Hawaii before he came home. He visited the Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, home to two of the most active volcanoes on earth.

Abe continues to play multiple intramural games a week with multiple teams. This is a photo with his ultimate frisbee team.

Becky took and passed a skills test this week to earn an endorsement to teach high school English. She does not want to teach English, but likes the idea of being well rounded. This is a photo outside the testing center after the test.

Roofers have been at our house this week replacing our roof. The roof probably has a few years left before we needed to replace it, but we want to install solar panels and it's easier to do both at the same time than to take the solar panels off to replace shingles.

Becky's classroom has a wall of windows and is a great home for houseplants. Several of her plants outgrew their pots this year. Becky took an afternoon this week to divide the plants and repot them, almost doubling the number of plants in her room. She's planning on giving the extra plants to the school librarian when the librarian is back on campus in August.

Brandan and Becky enjoyed a relaxed and festive 4th of July, beginning with the parade.

Abe attended the Stadium of Fire in Provo with the Idiarts. From the left are Tiffany, Justin, Luci, Ashton, Ben, and Abe.

They enjoyed music from Rascal Flats and watching fireworks.
