1 November 2020

Abe and Gibson carved characters from the game app Among Us on their pumpkins this week.  They turned out pretty cute.

Abe is hard at work on his college applications right now.  He had an ecclesiastical interview with a counselor in the stake presidency this week for his BYU application.  He propped his phone up on book for the interview and looked very professional from the waist up.

One of Becky's classmates asked our geometry professor if he could wear a costume to class on Friday.  Dr. Sabo said everyone could dress up if Becky dressed up, expecting she would decline.  Hah!  Little did he know that she has no problem dressing up for Halloween.  She went as Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Here's a screenshot of the class.  Besides having a great sense of humor, this group is hard working, smart and kind.  The math department at SOU is very small and we've gotten to know and love each other very well.

Helen got together with a few friends for a Halloween party on Friday night.  She made herself this cute deer costume.

Here are her friends: Ethan (corona virus), Paige (Willy Wonka), Clara (pirate), Sarah (50s lady), Helen and Caleb (Sherlock Holmes).

Our family had a much quieter Halloween than past years because of the COVID pandemic.  Abe worked Saturday night, Gibson played video games at a friend's house and Helen went for a bike ride with friends and then watched Grey's Anatomy.  We decided not to pass out candy to avoid crowds of kids mingling on our porch.  Brandan and Becky took some treats to some families in our ward with small children, kind of reverse trick-or-treating.  As we walked home from our deliveries, we saw this fantastic pumpkin prominently displayed at our neighbor's house.  Only 2 days until the election!
