Helen drove over the river and through the woods to Klamath Falls for a DECA competition. There was snow in the mountains!

Our ward Young Women's presidency was released last Sunday. On Wednesday, the Young Women made treats and cards and took them to their former leaders. Back row: Luci, Kate, Lila, Nikki, Ali, Sarah. Front row: Emma, Elise, Beka, Annie, Olivia and Helen. Very front row: Mary.
Thursday was Veteran's Day. Becky, Helen and Gibson tried going to the city memorial program, but the city canceled it due to the need for repairs to the Veterans' Memorial. It was still good to spend a few minutes thinking about and thanking our country's veterans.
In the afternoon, Troop 5 went to a retirement home to perform a flag ceremony to honor the veterans who live there. Because of covid, it's been a long time since the scouts did a formal flag ceremony so they practiced outside a few times before doing the actual ceremony.
Someone had given the troop a worn flag to retire. The scouts unfurled the flag one last time to show respect for the flag before it is properly destroyed.
This week Helen and Gibson missed most of their school classes while they worked on the scavenger hunt. Their team found answers for 65 out of 66 puzzles. This photo is from Friday afternoon as the team worked madly before the 5 pm deadline to finish.
On Saturday, troop 5 picked up donated food for Scouting for Food. From the left are Gibson, Ben, Jonah and Nathan.
After their service project, the scouts went to the shooting range to shoot .22s.
Here's a photo of Gib with his target. Gib learned a lot about aiming a gun and had better accuracy when he used a rest.
On Saturday Helen went to our stake's neon game night and then crashed the other stake's dance. From the left are Helen, Daniel, Molli, Emma and Annie.
We can hardly believe it! Abe made it to Busan. We're so thankful for these photos that his mission president's wife sent us. This is a photo of Abe with President and Sister Killpack. We don't know who the other elders are. Maybe the APs?
We think these are the other missionaries Abe arrived with. It's exciting to see a senior couple in the group.
Abe sent us this photo of the view from the apartment where he will be quarantining for the next 10 days.
