6 April 2025

Abe celebrated his 22nd birthday on Thursday! He hiked Dry Canyon in Lindon, Utah on his birthday. Abe is training for a half Ironman triathlon in May, so a quick hike is light work. Abe is a powerhouse for good, typically over scheduled, but also accomplishing a generous amount of work and fun. We're enormously proud of him!

Abe went to the Saturday morning session of general conference with friends. From the left are Abe, Lexi, Spencer, Jake, Ethan and Camden.

This is a photo of the group inside the conference center.

Brandan and Becky hiked Upper Tablerock in-between the morning and afternoon sessions of conference. We've hiked through the winter into spring which has been a lovely way to anticipate Easter and the resurrection.

The peak blooming season for wildflowers on the Tablerocks is May, but we still saw lots of flowers, including these scarlet fritillaries.

Gibson went to Utah with Adia and her dad for general conference and for Adia to tour colleges. Adia and Gib met up with Helen and Abe on Saturday afternoon. They got dinner at Itto Sushi.

Here's a photo of Abe playing Minecraft while waiting for the Minecraft movie to start. Very meta.

Gibson and Adia went to the Sunday afternoon session of conference.

This was Gibson's first time attending conference in person.

Gib said it was easier to focus in person.

Abe attended a concert for his friend, Reagan, at BYU earlier this week.

This was Brandan and Becky's first conference at home alone. We did all the things we normally do with our kids, including playing bingo on Sunday afternoon with the conference talks. We didn't get very far on our puzzle. Gibson will likely finish it up when he gets home later this week.

Conference was a spiritual treat which we will revisit many times.
